Christian Marrone currently serves as the Senior Vice President, External Relations and Chief of Staff for IT provider CSRA. He has the unique distinction of having served as a senior presidential appointee in both the Bush and Obama Administrations in addition to his experience in state and local government and the private sector. Prior to joining CSRA, he served as the Chief of Staff of the Department of Homeland Security for Secretary Jeh Johnson.

His service at the Department of Defense (DOD) included Special Assistant to then-Secretary Robert Gates, and Acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for Legislative Affairs. After leaving the DOD, he served as an executive for 3M, where he helped develop the company’s Defense Markets Division, and as Vice President for National Security and Acquisition Policy at the Aerospace Industries Association.

He has a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Pennsylvania State University, a law degree from Temple University, and a master’s degree in government administration from the University of Pennsylvania.
